Welcome to my Web Page!
Every year, as I struggle with "Cabin Fever", I try to bring out several of my floral paintings just to remind me that Spring and warm weather will come. In the meantime it's time for tea, looking through flower and seed catalogs, and dreaming about next years gardens.

Once the Christmas decorations are put up and the rooms are bare of decorative pieces I look forward creating a little different feel by rearranging accessories and bringing out different decorative pieces.

I love the more primitive feel of the furniture in my family room and can't wait to paint the sofa motif on the inside of a large rectangular tray. I know it will look and work great as a tray on the large ottoman. Above the couch hangs a primitive angel I designed several years ago about the same time I was first introduced to decorative painting.

To go along with the more primitive feel I wanted I resurrected several Joyce Howard plates and trays along with several stroke pieces, including a gift from the Penn Dutch painters and an old and not so good of shape tin bucket signed by Peter Empier.
I hung a checkerboard designed by Gloria Koskey on the wall, connecting colors and style.
Grab a cup of tea see what is new and look for my new video, Lightening and Highlighting Round Objects Stage II, coming soon! In the meantime, watch the short video clip on how to apply a highlight or paint rosy cheeks using my Dome Round brushes.

This five-day color oriented oil seminar is for the intermediate to advanced painter who wants visual confirmation of their color choices. It is not oriented to theory, as much as to your own visual judgment and the options that are available to you to make the best color choices.

I am very excited about the Quarterly! I can't wait for you to take a tour of fellow painter, Ginny Mosher's, home in Decorative Living Life Style. Her decorating style is more traditional Early American and includes several paintings from the Quilted Acorn and John Sliney Collections. Don't miss it!
If that doesn't get you going - read some motivational suggestions in Artfully Asked.
